Practical Skills Day - Adult Leaders Course
Learn simple, safe and successful practical skills techniques that your young people of all ages will love, in a supportive, low-ego environment, with experienced volunteers and plenty of time to practise, ask questions, and build confidence. Modules include fire lighting, knives, axe and saw, campfire cookery and tarpology.

Before you book
- To attend a Bushscout.UK course, you must be a current adult member of The Scout Association.
- Group bookings are welcome, but all attendees must be named at the point of booking. Placeholder or “names to follow” bookings will be cancelled.
- Some courses may run over a weekend. Overnight camping is not arranged or booked by Bushscout.UK, and not all sites are able to offer camping. If you are considering staying overnight, please check the site details and make your own arrangements directly with the venue.
- Some courses are shown as
TBC or have a later booking open date while venues are being finalised. These will become bookable as soon as details are confirmed.
- Additional courses are being planned and will be added here as they are confirmed. Sold-out courses remain visible, and you can join the waiting list to be notified if a place becomes available.
- Please note that our booking system applies a small card processing charge at checkout, so a £40 course will show as £40.76 before payment is confirmed.
